The ability to view the tissue temperatures in and around the tumor during an ablation procedure to ensure adequate ablation margin has been requested by physicians. INTIO’s Monitoring Module utilizes our proprietary algorithms to map the density changes between multiple CT scans during an ablation procedure and correlate this to produce an isotherm map of the ablation zone. The thermal change map can be viewed in 2D or 3D and rotated for desired visualization. The INTIO system also compensates for streak artifacts caused by probe reflection and patient movement using our robust registration techniques.
