Linux Software Engineer

General description: INTIO, a company focused on minimally invasive therapy of cancers and other solid masses is currently seeking skilled Software Quality Engineers for our Broomfield, Colorado office.


  • Serve as the OS system level resource for Intio's minimally invasive image-guided medical imaging products.
  • Design and develop OS configuration necessary to support Intio's product.
  • Design and develop procedures for software manufacture, distribution, and update of Intio's product.
  • Make significant contributions to product architecture, design, security, and performance requirements as related to the OS and system software configuration.
  • Work in conjunction with R & D management, and Product Development Director to assure engineering specifications and design trace 1:1 to system requirements.
  • Conduct tests or investigations pertaining to the development of new designs or processes and investigate possible application of results as related to the OS and system software.
  • Obtain, correlate, and analyze technical information need to accomplish assigned tasks.
  • Prepare reports, charts, graphs, and other documents and provide timely project information to company management.
  • Review and approve related inputs such as drawings and specifications prepared by other members of product development team.
  • Document all work as required.
  • Coordinate any experimental verification efforts and define/support the construction of experimental models and special test equipment.
  • Collaborate with other groups and departments on team projects.


Location: Broomfield, CO

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • B.S. degree in engineering, computer science, or equivalent; masters degree a plus.
  • 3+ years of software development experience in a Linux environment.
  • Extensive LINUX systems level experience required, preferably in an Ubuntu or Debian environment.
  • Extensive shell scripting knowledge required.
  • C or C++ programming experience required.
  • Knowledge of open source packages highly desirable
  • Experience with Linux configuration and distribution in a manufacturing or OEM environment highly desirable.
  • Experience with developing and deploying remote and on-site software update plans, procedures and related software, in LINUX environment highly desirable.
  • Good analytical skills.
  • Good oral and written communications skills.
