Morgan W. Nields, President and CEO

Nadim Yared

Nadim Yared joined CVRx as President & CEO in 2006 after 15 years of senior management experience at Medtronic and General Electric.

Under Yared’s leadership, CVRx raised $149 million in capital to support its development of a proprietary, active implantable technology for the treatment of hypertension and heart failure. CVRx???s second-generation device, the Barostim neo, is approved for sale in Europe under the CE Mark for the treatment of hypertension.

Yared has two undergraduate engineering degrees and an MBA from Insead in Paris, France. He currently serves on the board of directors for AdvaMed, the medical device association, which advocates for a legal, regulatory and economic environment that advances global health care by assuring worldwide patient access to the benefits of medical technology.

Scott Peairs

Scott Peairs is currently the Vice President, Sales and Marketing for BTG Biocompatibles Interventional Medicine business. Scott was previously the Senior VP, Sales and Marketing for INTIO. Prior to joining INTIO in January 2008, he had been the VP/GM of Covidien’s Interventional Oncology business. Other experience included VP/GM for Covidien???s US region of the Energy Based Medical Device Business Unit, VP of Marketing for Valleylab’s electrosurgery and vessel sealing business and Director of International Marketing for Mallinckrodt’s contrast imaging business. Scott also acted as Vice President, Sales and Marketing for Bioptics Inc. (now Faxitron Bioptics) during 2010 while INTIO’s product development commenced.

Scott resides in Longmont, Colorado and brings a broad background in general management, strategic planning, sales and channel development, marketing and business development to the INTIO board. Scott holds both a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and a B.A. in Biology from Bucknell University, and an M.B.A. from the University of Connecticut.

Kinney Johnson

Kinney Johnson is a Founding Partner of Sequel Venture Partners. Prior to that, he founded Fischer Imaging Corporation (FIMG) in 1973, and served as President until 1985. He then founded Capital Health Venture Partners where he served as a Partner until

Kinney also sits on the boards of Evolutionary Genomics and HomeSphere, Inc.

Kinney earned an M.S. in Mathematical Computer Science at the University of Iowa, and a B.A. in Business Administration/Mathematics at Augsburg College.
